I hope everyone can agree that Pixar makes great movies. But what do you think is their masterpiece. I expect Finding Nemo to get quite high up on the list, as it is quite critically acclaimed and everybody seems to like it. I however do not. It is actually one of my least favourite Pixar films.
My favourite Pixar film is WALL-E. I jsut find the story unique and compelling while the characters are so fun and well thought out. The story takes a reasonably adult theme, the end of the world, and makes it child freindly but enjoyable for everybody.

I'm not going to put in Toy Story 3, as it has just come out, some may not of seen it, and those who have may overestimate it's quality because it's new. I'm not saying it's bad, in fact it's definitly in my top 3.

I voted for up it manages to weave a very heart warming tale and it infuses it with their trademark humor all along the way.

ps I also do not like finding nemo

WALL-E wins it for me, although that's a great list of movies nevertheless.

I'm in love with Pixar, they are why I became an animator. So many Pixar movies I liked and absolutely none I didn't care for. But the peak of their perfection was with Wall-E I feel. Not only from the story side, but Wall-E is what made Renderman shine and what finally sold me on it.

Bugs Life was great, Toy Story was great, but I do think Toy Story 3 was a great movie, I hope it gets an Oscar nomination for best Picture.

Having not seen all the movies on that list (WALL-E, Bug's life etc.) , I will go for Finding Nemo.
Maybe Im just wierd but after having kind of given up on animated films Finding Nemo came and blew me away. Noticed some don't like it, to each he's own I guess big grin

Well.. I'm going to go with Toy Story for this one. I have good memories of the experiences I had when I watched the movie... numerous times... on VCD... in both the translated Mandarin and the original English version... when I was 5,6 years old.

Great reminiscences .. from the time when I was scared of the dark and being alone at home and when I was probably still pissing in my bed (on occasion) while dreaming.

Putting that aside, I can recall feeling genuine emotions while watching the movie. I remember feeling upset, scared and touched to varying degrees.. In fact, I've not watched Toy Story 1 and 2 since 8 years ago and dare not watch it again for the fear of spoiling my own memories. Have seen too many movies since then.

(opps... voted for Wall-E. Nvm.. 2nd best movie on this list.. for me)
Edit: corrected ONE grammatical error... lol. I never preview my posts before I submit them. o_o
