Q: Who leads the Pax-Republica Guild?
A: Our Consul Gaiutus Balthar
Q: Who are the guild Arbiters?
A: Kbrury, Aux, and Friscoo
Q: What is the guild's ranking structure like, and how do I advance in rank?
A:For the guild's ranking system, please read this thread: http://www.pax-republica.net/forums/viewtopic.php?p=20144643&gid=118791#20144643 The speed with which you advance in the guild is entirely up to you and your behavior. If you contribute, bring up good ideas, are active on the forums, in ventrillo, and in game, you will likely do well. On the other hand if you are inactive, and rude to other members, not only will you not advance in the guild, you will almost certainly be kicked in our monthly purges of inactive, and in general bad members.
Q: What types of things will the Pax-Republica be doing in game?
A: The answer is pretty much anything and everything that is available and ethical in the game. We have members that will be doing PvP, PvE, RP, and crafting. You name an in game activity and you will probably find it done within our guild, but we will NOT be going around and stirring up drama, and those who do will be swiftly punished.
Q: Why is there a trial period?
A: The trial period is intended to weed out members that aren't active and contributing to the guild, before we accept them fully into our ranks.
Q: What are the requirements for completion of the trial period?
A: To complete your trial period, you must:
1. You must make 20 posts in our forums.
2. You must update your profile here at Pax with an Avatar.
3. You must PM one of our Arbiters or Envoys (that includes Trial Directors like me) and give them the necessary info for creating your Ventrilo account. You need to PM your desired name and password. Here is a link to a helpful thread with sig and Vent info.
http://www.pax-republica.net/forums/viewtopic.php?p=20144643&gid=118791#20144643
4. Go over our Rules and Regulations thread and be sure to post that you accept them. Here is a link to the thread:
http://www.pax-republica.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5380800&gid=118791
5. You must arrange an interview with the Consul, Arbiter, or a Trial Director via a PM. The interview must be conducted in either Ventrilo or the chatbox before your trial period is up.
6. Declare your class in the associated class forum of your choice.
7. These are a set of Ventrilo Rules that must be adhered to, to keep the peace and the sanity of other player please post in this thread stating you have read these very simple rules.
* Please keep the language to a minimum and never direct it towards another member. We know people slip its bound to happen but if you catch yourself doing it apologize and stop doing it right away.
* We like to consider this guild a large family and as such we don't want to hear people putting others down its not right and its uncalled for. If you lose a match talk to whoever is making mistakes and show them how to fix the problem but do so as an adult and don't be condescending.
* If you catch someone doing either of these things please pm an officer and include details and we will handle the situation after all if we don't know about it we can't fix it.
* This will be a 3 strikes system 1st is a warning, 2nd is being kicked off of vent for the night, if it persists to the 3rd strike you will be perma-banned from vent and from Pax Republica. We do not want to see this happen to anyone so please be a bit mindful of what you say.
For Phase 2 you must get into vent and a game for at least one day (note: a game with us is optional vent is not) with us to see how well you fit into our community.
Q: How long is the trial period?
A: 14 Days. During that time you must meet all requirements listed above.
Q: Where is Pax-Republica's TOR recruitment Thread?
A: Our thread can be found here. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=158906
Q: I can't find any interesting threads to post in. What should I do?
A: You can make your own!
Q: I have a problem with another member. How should I address this?
A: PM an Arbiter or Gaiutus.
Q: What if real life problems come up, or i have to go out of town on my trial period.
A: Send a PM to Gaiutus to request an extension, supplying a valid excuse.
Q: What exactly does Pax Republica stand for?
A: Other than it being literally Republic Peace, Pax Republica stands for maturity, community, integrity and loyalty, dominance in PVP and PVE, and to be an ever welcoming and warm place to call your Star Wars: The Old Republic Home!
Q: Why do you hold monthly purges of your members? It seems a bit harsh!
A: As stated above, we value community and loyalty - a family like atmosphere where people can log in and know those around them. Every month we hold the Purge where we identify and remove individuals who promised our community to be involved, be friendly, and be one of us yet have either disappeared for over 2 weeks without an official Leave Of Absence or have not posted or spoken to anyone in the guild in the same amount of time. Also, members who are unfriendly or give off a cold-air only make the community weaker and will be removed. It may seem harsh, but it is necessary to maintain the integrity and promised active community of Pax Republica!
Q: What Server does Pax Republica plan to roll?
A: Usually there are three types of servers; PVP, PVE and RP. At this point no real information has been given by the SWTOR Developers on server availability but should the stereotypical three be present then we will be rolling a PVP server definitely.
Q: What if I cannot make it on for a raid or a pvp event? Will I be kicked??
A: Not at all - even if you say you will make it and something happens to come up our leadership is very tolerant of those things and will not hold it against you. We understand that real life comes first and under no circumstances should you ever feel that a video game should take priority. *note: It is always appreciated of course if you can tell us either before or after if you weren't able to make it and why (if it is not something too personal).
Q: I enjoyed my time here in the guild but I'm not sure it's the place for me. If I resign from Pax Republica will I be blacklisted?
A: The way you are treated after leaving our community is entirely dependent on the manner in which you go. We have three basic types of Guild Quitters: 1) Those who post a resignation stating the truth about their lack of interest or desire to try something different, wishing us all well. 2) Those who just don't show up for X amount of time and eventually are removed on the monthly Purge. 3) Those who post a goodbye but claim it is for personal health, or real life issues which forbid them from being in ANY guild at this time. It is only a few hours afterwards we usually find they've applied to a different guild and therefore had lied to us.
If you are type #1 then you will be missed, but wished well and welcome back to re-apply at a later date if you should wish it. There will be NO hard feelings at all. If you are type #2 you will be assumed to have had no interest and will be seen as a disappointment but you will not have anything really against you. However the type #3 of GQ's (guild quitters) are the ones who are publically acknowledged for their lies and are never welcome back to the guild. Your IP address and email will be banned and you will likely find a cold reception should you attempt to return.
Quite simply put; If you are respectful, honest, and mature about leaving our community then you will be treated in the same light. If you are a liar, an idiot, or too lazy to let us know - then you will find little respect from us. 100% up to you how it turns out.
Q: I submitted an application but it was declined? Why would this be and what can I do to get in?
A: If your application was declined it was almost certainly because it lacked information, effort, and maturity. We want to make sure we have a basic understanding about who we are letting into our community before we even click the accept / decline button - and the best way for that to happen is to either talk with us on our chatbox or ventrilo prior to applying, or writing several sentences per question on the Application itself.
If your application is indeed declined you may of course re-apply immediately or at a later date, as long as you plan to improve on the last one. We have no limit to members accepted or classes desired at this time so only your effort or lack thereof will determine a pass or deny.
Q: I applied to Pax Republica and was accepted, but I failed my trial account because I couldn't make the time to complete the 20 posts or other aspect of my trial. What should I do??
A: First if you are denied entrance because you failed your trial it does not mean that we do not want you or like you; but simply that you should probably reconsider joining our guild if you cannot find the time to make 20 posts in 7 days (which is incredibly easy). You may also consider re-applying at a time when you will have the availability to interact and be a member of this community.
